Cat Vanishes from Home Only to Turn Up at Bar Over 30 Miles Away. Then He Does It Again

An adventurous cat enjoyed his trip to a pub in the U.K. so much that he decided to travel more than 30 miles to visit a second time after being returned to his owners.

Peanut the cat surprised the staff at the Vat & Fiddle taproom when he turned up at the Nottingham, U.K., watering hole on July 9. He did so after disappearing from the home of his owners, Charley Rawlings and Sam Bharma, over 30 miles away in Lincolnshire, U.K., according to reporting by the Daily Mail.

While hanging out at the bar, the feline became a local social media sensation, appearing in numerous posts from Vat & Fiddle. While Peanut got to know the regulars at the establishment, the team at Castle Rock Brewery, which is associated with the taproom, attempted to find his owners.

“Here is our new furry friend that has been visiting the pub in the past few weeks. Why don’t you come in and see if you can spot her about the pub?!” one post on the Vat and Fiddle’s Facebook page read alongside photos of Peanout cozying up to patrons and bar furniture.

“We love having him around and he is always very welcome, but I’m not sure his parents are thrilled with his habit,” the bar’s general manager said
